About us.....

TEAM CENTRAL is an elite lacrosse program comprised of talented players from the Central and Eastern Regions of Massachusetts/New England founded by John Middleton. Team Central is committed to giving players good exposure to high level lacrosse and good coaching in helping them develop their lacrosse abilities and goals.

Team Central is proud to boast that many of our players have gone on to play at successful Division II and III collegiate programs and a few have even landed at Division I schools. Players that have participated in Team Central Programs have gone off to Hamilton, Babson, Colby, Bowdoin, Western New England, Washington & Lee, Denison, Plymouth State, Wentworth, Gettysburg, St. Michaels, Susquehanna, Union, Army, Lafayette. Colgate, Elmira, Roger Williams, Trinity, Brown, Assumption, UVM, Providence, Union, Ithaca, Bentley, Bates, Duke, Wesleyan, Keene State, Quinnipiac, Providence, Colorado College, UMASS, Sacred Heart, Skidmore, VMI, Salisbury, St. Marys, Connecticut College, Mary Washington, RIT, Delaware, etc.

Currently some of the top high school players in the Central and Eastern regions of New England compete in the off season with Team Central. A number of those players have received High School All-American honors.

Team Central coaches are dedicated to the the success of players in this area. All of our coaches have impressive lacrosse resumes and many of them coach local teams in addition to having coached and/or played at the college level.

Our Program focuses on developing players to play at the collegiate level and assist them with the recruiting process. The goal is to assist the player in helping them get into the right school for them. We do not brag about which players have gone to D1 programs, but we do brag about helping players find the right school for them as it relates to academics, the college community and lacrosse wise.

Playing for Team Central (Super Juniors and U17):

Super Jrs:

For players interested in playing for the Team Central Super Jrs in the Summer of 2012, please contact Coach Crowley at crowley.nick@gmail.com. You should be a player who has high character, solid grades and a good lacrosse player. Our best candidates are multisport athletes that treat lacrosse as their #1 sport. Players are selected based on these qualities and recommendations from various sources. This allows us to evaluate you as a person and a lacrosse player. We accept hi-quality student athletes that are presently in the 9th grade up to graduating seniors who will attend a PG year for possible selection to the Super Jrs Teams.

Team Central events typically happen in the evening or on weekends during the summer. In the fall, events are all on the Sundays. We do not have events in the winter as we encourage players to take a break from lacrosse and play other sports, focus on school and family. We strongly encourage our players to play another sport(s) in addition to lacrosse.

For players who are selected to the Super Jrs Teams, there is a annual registration fee and then the appropriate tourney fees. Players will get assistance with college planning and recruiting as part of participating with the Super Jrs Teams at no additional cost. For juniors who are not selected to participate with the Super Jrs Teams, Team Central will have some very limited opportunities available to participate in scrimmages, practices and possibly tournaments as an alternate. Information on this option will be provided to individuals as these situations arise.

For players selected to this program, we will expect that you are 100% committed to Team Central and do not play for any other program while playing with Team Central.

TC Blue (2014/2015)

We are looking for freshmen players (or exceptional 8th graders) with a desire play lacrosse at a high level. We look for multisport athletes that view lacrosse as their #1 sport. Our TC Blue Team is made up of 2014 graduation year players and 2015 players for Fall of 2011 and Summer 2012. These teams will typically be entered in tournaments versus freshman, sophs and juniors. Our philosophy is that we want to play up as often as possible. We feel players develop through this process better than by just playing other freshman teams.

In order to be accepted for Team Central, a player should contact us for an evaluation. Players that are accepted into the program after the evaluation would then be invited to participate in regular practices and scrimmages that are on our website for the summer and fall. Some of the criteria we use to select players for our program and tournaments are commitment, effort, coachability, skill and ability to get along within a team atmosphere. We evaluate all of these things at the fall scrimmages, mini-camps, clinics and some winter indoor leagues that players participate in. Team Central teams typically play in 2 or 3 summer tournaments during the summer. We look for players that will be 100% committed to Team Central.

In order to participate with Team Central teams, players must have paid their annual registration fee. This registration fee allows players to participate in all of our scrimmages, mini-camps, clinics and events, and allows them to be eligible for tournaments throughout the 2011 - 2012 year. Please note that this fee does not cover tournament fees for players selected to participate in a tourney.
